4 ways to start your day

Breakfast 1

Homemade extra lean steak mince burgers – add chilli powder and diced onion or any other herbs or spices you fancy, also using an omega 3 enriched egg to bind the burgers works well although not essential.

Breakfast 2

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs (omega 3 enriched) – add black pepper and squeeze fresh lemon juice on the smoked salmon to enhance taste.

Breakfast 3

Low carb, high protein pancakes – this is a great low carb, high protein version of a classic ‘comfort food’ breakfast, the ingredients are:

  • 20g vanilla whey protein
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 packet of truvia
  • Cook in coconut oil!

Turkey mince with spring onions and diced mushrooms.

500g Turkey mince

4-5 mushrooms

3 spring onions

Finely dice spring onions and mushrooms. Fry turkey mince in ghee (or coconut oil) for 5 minutes, then add the onions and mushrooms, continue to fry until fully cooked, 5-8 minutes. Whilst cooking add mixed herbs and salt to taste. Delicious for breakfast or lunch.
