Where do we start?

Hormones play a huge role in body composition. Research shows that there can be a correlation between certain body fat storage sites and hormone imbalances. For example, the thickness of a person’s umbilical skin fold (tummy) can be a reflection of their cortisol (stress hormone) output. Fat on the midsection indicates stress levels are high and/or the ability to handle stress is low.

I can identify where someone stores fat and in what ratios by using skin fold callipers.  As an FDN practitioner I have a good understanding of how hormones make us fat and create health issues.  My FDN skills, coupled with skin fold callipers and other methods means I can effectively identify opportunities to optimise body composition and restore health.

What happens after the testing?

The good news is, your body fat levels and corresponding imbalanced hormones can be effectively managed. I will develop a plan for you based on YOUR unique biological signature. Through a combination of diet, exercise, a targeted supplementation program, and lifestyle modifications you can begin to thrive.  

What can I expect from the advice?

Depending on the package you opt for you can expect to receive advice on the following:
  • Which food groups to stop consuming and why.
  • Which food groups to eat and why.
  • What time of day certain food groups, eg carbohydrates, should be eaten.
  • What supplements you require and why. I can also supply these.
  • Training to compliment your nutrition protocol and body composition goals.
  • Lifestyle improvements that will aid sleep, stress and anxiety issues.
